JAMAICAN SWALLOWER BARNES-PEART CHARGED ON CONCLUSION OF VAGINAL DISCHARGE
Members of the Drug Squad arrested and charged Jamaican national, Donna Ann-Marie Barnes-Peart, 41 years, for the offences of:
- Possession of 2 lbs of cannabis;
- Possession with intent to supply;
- Trafficking; and
- Importation.

Barnes-Peart arrived by air from Jamaica on 5th May, 2014 and was interviewed by Police after clearing Immigration. She was referred to a medical facility where she passed out 50 packets containing cannabis which she had ingested. Also, a cylindrical shaped package was also retrieved from her vagina. Total weight 2 lbs.
COURT RESULTS
Barnes-Peart appeared at the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Friday 9th May 2014, and pleaded guilty to the charges. She was fined $24,000 forthwith for the offence of Importation or 2 years in prison. She was Conviction, Reprimanded and Discharged on the remaining charges. The fine was not paid.
