
Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Stephen Lashley, welcomed President of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Michel Platini, to Barbados yesterday, Sunday, April 6, at the Iam Jet Centre, Christ Church.
During the brief courtesy call, the French football star indicated he was in the island to tour local sporting facilities, as well as to meet with Prime Minister Freundel Stuart and officials from the Barbados Football Association.

Minister Lashley assured Mr. Platini that football was one of the island’s favourite sports and that government is committed to improving sporting facilities. (SP/BGIS)
