DRUG ERADICATION OPERATION (CLOSE TO 2,500 PLANTS) – YET ANOTHER WASTED EXPORT TO REDUCE DEFICIT?

On Friday 18 April, 2014, members of the Drug Squad supported by other Units of the Force and members of the Barbados Defence Force conducted a drug eradication operation in St. David’s Village, Christ Church. Two thousand four hundred and fifty six (2,456) cannabis plants were discovered in a dense bushy area north of the Village under cultivation.

Terry Haynes, 35 years of Welch Village, St. John, who was detained during the operation at the plots was formally charged in relation to the discovery of 2,346 plants that were under cultivation. (RBPF FILE IMAGE: DEMO ONLY)

He was charged with the following:
1. Possession;
2. Possession with intent to supply;
3. Trafficking; and
4. Cultivation.

He is expected to appear at the District A Magistrates Court on Saturday 19 April 2014.
