A four member trade mission featuring British companies from the education and training sector will visit Barbados (17-18 March), before moving on to Trinidad & Tobago (19-20 March). This trade mission has attracted Olive Strachan Resources Ltd, Edexcel International/Pearson Qualifications International, Star Definition Limited and The Training Gateway, University of York.

The British High Commission, through UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), has worked with international aid agencies and local education sector entities to develop programmes for the visiting companies. In addition to several presentations and exchanges at the British High Commission, individual appointments have been arranged for these companies with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation and local businesses.

The aim of this mission is to help UK companies pursue education-sector business opportunities in Barbados and the wider Caribbean and boost collaboration with public and private sector entities. This is the second education sector trade mission to Barbados, following an earlier mission to Barbados’ annual International College Fair in November 2014.
