Trinidad’s Trade Minister celebrates with Chinese Ambassador
His Excellency Huang Xingyuan, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago hosted a dinner at the Embassy on Alexandra Street, Port-of-Spain, for the business delegation who accompanied the Honourable Mrs. Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, MP, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on her Official State Visit to People’s Republic of China in February.

In delivering brief Remarks, Ambassador Huang Xingyuan affirmed that ‘the State visit to the People’s Republic of China was a success and has opened great trade and economic opportunities which is indeed evident by the numerous phone calls and letters from potential Chinese business investors’.

Senator Vasant Bharath, Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment expressed gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago for the sincere hospitality extended to the Trinidad and Tobago delegation.

He stated that ‘Trinidad and Tobago is on the cusp of huge success, and strongly believes that the recent State Visit will produce results both economically and diplomatically and there is much to gain mutually from this relationship for both countries‘.
