A serious accident occurred about 8.30 am on Sunday 30 March 2014, at Coggins Hill, St. Andrew, involving a truck driven by Barthelmoe Alcide, 55 years of Silver Hill, Christ Church, which was towing an excavator at the time.

Initial investigations revealed that the driver lost control and the truck overturned, the excavator then struck and broke a utility pole and damaged a two bedroom house occupied by Errol Sobers.

The driver received a cut to his right hand and abrasions about his body. Utility lines and a water supply pipeline were damaged.
