Holders is a traditional Barbadian Plantation House dating from the 17th century, set in 5 acres of formal and park gardens. The house has beautiful views over its huge pool and the polo ground to the Caribbean Sea. The site hosts a weekly farmers market, a state-of-the-art music studio, and hosts the world famous performing arts festival … Holders Season!

- Thursday 20th March: Dining with the Divas
The best possible way to enjoy a night at the opera. The glamorous operatic soprano Melinda Hughes is joined by the equally charismatic tenor Alex Tsilogiannis in an evening of love, laughter, and intrigue. Also featuring the dashing pianistic talents of Jeremy Limb, the wit and words of wisdom of your host Mr. Kit Hesketh-Harvey and all served up with a three course opera supper on the magnificent Holders Gallery.
- Saturday 22nd March: One Night with Joan Collins
The 2014 Season’s Little Theatre programme opens with the inimitable, extraordinary talent of world renowned actress Joan Collins, sharing the stories and secrets of her celebrated career as one of the world’s most glamorous and intriguing personalities. With the same engaging wit and frankness that turned her two memoirs Past Imperfect and Second Act into New York Times best-sellers Ms. Collins takes to the stage with honesty, style and grace. When the show debuted in the United Kingdom, the Times of London hailed Joan as “riveting, endearing and a terrific storyteller“.
- Monday 24th March: Comedy Night
A regular highlight of the Season, Holders’ comedy night will hit the funny bone with a double bill featuring a top headline act, artist TBC, followed by Holders’ favourite, master songsmith Kit Hesketh-Harvey and stage partner James McConnel.
- Wednesday 26th March: Lesley Garrett and Friends
The singer who, it is claimed, single-handedly transformed the world of classical music with a soprano voice to die for, a dazzling personality and a rare ability to convey her love of music is joined by two virtuoso talents, former BBC Young Musician of the Year, clarinettist Emma Johnson, and leading international pianist Andrew West. Sumptuous, moving and entertaining.
- Friday 28th March: The Sinatra Jukebox
Superb jazz interpreter Gary Williams together with pianist extraordinaire Harry the Piano and sax-master Simon Bates spoil us for choice with 100 great Sinatra songs to choose from, but what will tonight’s concert be? You, the audience, choose the songs; they make up the concert on the spot. A virtuoso evening of sure-fire winners.
- Saturday 29th March: Indian Night – BOLLYWOOD MIX
A first for Holders as we welcome performers from Trinidad & Tobago’s Watertech Sargam International Orchestra together with the Susan Mohip Dance Company for a captivating and visual journey through the music and dance of modern day India, celebrating the sheer joy of Bollywood.
- Tuesday 1st April: The Play that goes wrong
Following the huge success in 2013 of the comedy theatre piece, Casablanca – the Gin Joint Cut, Holders Season presents the award winning comedy tour de force that is The Play that goes wrong. What’s it about? It’s a play that goes wrong! Very wrong. A major Edinburgh Festival hit, The Play… has already enjoyed a sell out London West End run and comes to Holders at the start of a major world tour.
- Wednesday 2nd April: 100 Years of Jazz (in 99 minutes)
Absolutely the most comprehensive and entertaining evening of jazz you will ever come across. Brilliantly compèred by the six-strong cast of leading ‘jazzers‘ from London’s renowned Boisedale’s Club, 100 Years of Jazz is a highly entertaining journey through the decades taking in everything from New Orleans to be-bop, swing to Latin, hot to cool, from Chicago to New York and from thence around the world! An A – Z of jazz’s biggest names from Louis Armstrong to Weather Report’s Joe Zawinul.
- Saturday 5th April: Gala Night
Holders Season welcomes its first ever artists from Sweden to headline the closing night of the 2014 Season. A massive global star and one of the first Western artists to attain success in China, Robert Wells is a cross between Elton John, Richard Clayderman and Little Richard – a phenomenal pianist and a great showman he is joined by Lars Risberg (Bass) Roine Johansson (Drums).
The Season’s finale is joyous and energetic in the hands of the wildly successful singing sextet, The Magnets.Hugely successful around the world, with their harmonies, humour and beatboxer extraordinaire Andy Frost, The Magnets will ensure the 2014 Virgin Atlantic Holders Season ends with a bang.
