Police have arrested and charged Jeffery Harington Callender 46 yrs of No. 9 Coral Land, Haggatt Hall St. Michael and his son Rico Antonio Bill, 23 yrs of No. 9 Valley View, Pinelands St. Michael, each for the offence of Attempting to export currency.

{PERSONAL FILE IMAGE} On Friday, February 07, 2014, Callender and Bill were at the Grantley Adams International Airport with the intention of traveling to Guyana. After checking in they were questioned by Police which led to the seizure of money.  The money exceeded the limit allowed to travel with, without the necessary permission.

Charges:

  • Jeffrey Callender – without the permission of the Exchange Control Authority attempted to export from Barbados $3,320.00 US currency.
  • Rico Bill – without the permission of the Exchange Control Authority attempted to export $2,730.00 US currency.
