Honey Jazz for January 2014!
Hot off the heels of the finale of Honey Jam’s 2013 season of 7 events came the launch of Honey Jazz 2014 in the Scarlet Lounge of the Waterfront Cafe. Billed as a great way to kick off the new year and the start of the traditional Jazz month of January, show producer Ebonnie Rowe announced that Honey Jazz will be an Elegant evening of jazz standards and a few jazzified cover tunes along with Hip Hop Jazz.
Sharron Alleyne Elcock, Business manager for United Insurance, indicated “it is vital that we express our support of this unique Jazz event – the second edition of Honey Jazz. United Insurance is excited to be involved in this event as it combines two things which are dear to our heart – the development of talented young women and the exposure of Barbadians to excellent entertainment. This year we sponsored Honey Jam for the first time and we are so happy to be a part of this powerful, developmental vehicle! Ebonnie and her team are doing a fantastic job in providing these amazing opportunities for young females in Barbados and we could not be prouder to be associated with Honey Jam and Honey Jazz.”
The artists were backed by Saxophonist Mylon Clarke, one of the 4 finalists in the running for the Christmas Jazz Berklee Scholarship, and pianist Shane Jones.
