Dr Janice Scott Cover, veteran educator, consultant and speaker, this week, launches her new book, “7 Insider Secrets: Transform Your Low-Performing Elementary School and Score an ‘A’ Rating in Record Time.” This book offers educators, school administrators and education advocates, the resources to achieve a total school transformation.

Author, Dr Scott Cover, also CEO of Improving Schools Consulting Services, cites: “many urban elementary schools are in crisis. School administrators are constantly challenged to meet the ever changing local, state and federal educational requirements. Urban schools tend to have revolving doors for administrators, teachers and students. It appears that educators who work in urban settings are always fighting an uphill battle in the teaching and learning process.”

The solution for these numerous challenges, Dr Cover explains, is providing a blueprint as outlined in the book, to dramatically improve student achievement in an urban elementary school setting.

The author advocates that children can overcome academic weaknesses when effective instructional and administrative strategies are employed in a supportive, collaborative and organized school environment.
