Two Barbadians charged for firearm offences and 2 Bulgarians facing charges related to Theft

MEN CHARGED WITH FIREARM AND AMMO OFFENCES

1. On Wednesday 9 October 2013, about 10.30 am, Police conducted an operation after receiving information regarding two men that may be carrying firearms in the Ivy area. Two men were seen at Government Hill and 2 firearms along with a quantity of ammunition were taken from a bag that was in their possession.

1. Ackeem Jabar Crichlow, 20 years, of Farm Road, St. Philip. – Possession of 2 firearms;
Possession of a quantity of ammunition.

2. Renaldo Antonio Husbands, 22 years of Farm Gardens, St. Philip –
Possession of 1 firearm;
Possession of a quantity of ammunition.

They appeared at the District A Magistrates Court on Friday 11 October 2013 and were both remanded until 8 November 2013.

BULGARIANS CHARGED

Police have arrested and charged the following persons with two counts each of Money Laundering and Going Equipped with intent to commit Theft. They are:

1. Vladimir Lachezarof Momchilof, 42 years;
2. Krasimir Yanakiev Yanakiev, 37 years.

{IMAGE VIA - longisland.com} Both men were taken into custody on Sunday October 6, 2013 at the Grantley Adams International Airport. At the time both subjects were in possession of large sums of currency of various denominations stuffed in their luggage and concealed on their person in excess of $300,000.

Both men appeared at the District A Magistrates Court on Saturday 12 October, 2013, and they were remanded to appear at the District B Magistrates Court 16 October 2013.
