The Barbados Stock Exchange (BSE), an association of Member-Brokers operating a central marketplace for trading securities, has named Royal Fidelity’s Senior Securities Trader, Kofi Farmer as the Broker of the Year 2012 and Broker of the Half Year 2013.
This semi-annual award celebrates the achievements and contributions of the outstanding brokers who would have had the highest transactions by values and volumes within the market.
Kofi Farmer, a winner of now two consecutive Half year awards and the inaugural Broker of the Year award, shared on this experience and the progress made in the market.
He noted, “While it is indeed a pleasure to be awarded for my past performance, I am also pleased to learn that second and third place prizes will be awarded as well. I think that this, if it hasn’t already, will foster healthy competition among the brokers in the market. Royal Fidelity will be engaging the BSE and other stakeholders on the further development of the Market.”
Royal Fidelity’s Assistant Vice President, Ms. Jillian Nunes joined with the BSE in congratulating Farmer. She noted, “Kofi’s achievements are indeed commendable and demonstrates Royal Fidelity’s commitment to fostering the growth and development of the domestic capital market and driving activity across the BSE.”
