Digicel Barbados continued its support of the Lupus Awareness Campaign when it once again sponsored and participated in the annual “Walk For Lupus” which was just held.

Digicel staff joined dozens of supporters who took the streets early Sunday morning on a route which took them from “Steppers Restaurant” on Bay Street, St. Michael, onto Princess Alice Highway, Harbour Road, Fontabelle, Cheapside, Broad Street and back onto Bay Street, before returning to the start of the walk.

The Digicel team was all smiles after the walk on Sunday, September 29. Here, Commercial Director, Alex Tasker (second from left) poses with the rest of the team. Also pictured is Minister of International, the Honourable Donville Inniss (centre), who also took part in the walk.

“Over the years we have supported the Hope Foundation‘s overall awareness campaign, which is designed to help improve the quality of life for sufferers and affected families. Our sponsorship of and participation in this walk is but only one of the ways we have shown our commitment to the Foundation and we will certainly continue to make donations, or assist in any other way possible.”
