While Ric Suggitt is currently employed as the Head Coach of the USA Women’s National Sevens Rugby Team, he has previously coached the Canadian Senior National Women’s Rugby team and the Canadian Senior National Men’s Rugby team, the latter at the 2007 Rugby World Cup, and has also coached basketball at the Canadian Provincial level. Ric is based full time at the USA Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, which gives him access to the latest training techniques, Strength and Conditioning routines and dietary information from the USA Olympic organization. He brings an unique perspective to coaching, having coached both men and women at the elite level.

The course modules include a session on Communication, which will be relevant to all team sports. Ric has presented Communication sessions to the USA National Soccer team. The Activation and Nutrition session will feature the latest information, including a minute-by-minute breakdown of the latest on game day preparation. Ric prides himself on Team Building and we will have a unique approach to presenting this module which will include an optional catamaran ride up the West coast. The Strength and Conditioning will provide alternative methods to gain fitness, incorporating some gym as well as readily available backyard equipment for this presentation. Finally, an open forum will be held to discuss any issues that participants may have including team selection, etc.

Interested sports federations are asked to contact the Barbados Olympic Association for more information and to register to participate. Deadline for registration is October 21, 2013.
