Leading up to show day, users can “RSVP” on the site, adding an event reminder to their personal digital calendars. On the morning of the show, live footage from within the theater will begin streaming. At show time, 10 AM (ET), users on live.michaelkors.com will be able to view the runway from multiple cameras, revealing a more comprehensive show experience presented from various angles: models walking out of the gate, a front row editor’s seat, shots from the photographers’ pit and a sweeping, bird’s eye aerial view.
“It used to be that just a select few could experience the thrill of a Fashion Week show in real time, but let’s face it: we’re living in a world that’s more mobile and more connected than ever. Now we’re able to share the complete experience – the rush of backstage, the reveal of the first look – with our entire community. And not just in the US, but across the world,” says Kors. “We’re changing what it means to watch a runway show.”
To integrate the brand’s industry-leading social followings on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, live feeds will be incorporated directly into the microsite’s interface, allowing users to share show-relevant content in real time. Comments, images and videos will be aggregated using the tags #AllAccessKors and #MichaelKors. Following the show, exclusive editorial content – including a collection recap from Kors’ perspective and a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation for the show – will go live on the brand’s lifestyle site, DestinationKors.com.
