The facts are that on Wednesday 25th September 2013, the Marine Police Unit and Barbados Coast Guard were alerted to reports that men were at sea off Silver Sands, Christ Church, breaking sea eggs. On response a close inspection of the vessel showed it had remains of sea egg prickles, which indicated that the vessel was use for the sea egg commodity.

Further investigations with the assistance of a Marine Biologist from the Fisheries Department led to the arrest and charge of the above mentioned men.

The abovementioned persons appeared at Magistrates Court on Friday 27 September 2013, and they pleaded guilty to the offences and were sentenced to 140 hours of community service. They are to return to Court on 23 January 2014.
