Jamaican and Barbadian charged in seperate drug cases

Members of the Drug Squad have arrested and charged Jamaican national Philip Roshaune Reid, 20 years for the following offences committed at the Airport on 30 August 2013:

Possession
Possession with intent to supply
Trafficking; and
Importation of 2 lbs of cannabis.

Reid arrived by air from Jamaica on 30 August, 2013 about 7.40 pm and was interviewed by Police after clearing Immigration. He was referred to a Customs where a search of his luggage revealed a black portfolio, and on closer inspection, the illegal drugs were discovered in a false compartment. Weight 2 lb.

BECKLES HILL MALE CHARGED FOR DRUG OFFENCES

Renee Keith Gilkes, 34 years of 2nd Avenue Beckles Hill, St. Michael was arrested and charged for the following offences:

Possession
Possession with intent to supply
Trafficking; and
Cultivation of cannabis.

On Saturday 31 August, 2013, members of the Drug Squad executed a search warrant at his residence where a quantity of loose cannabis was discovered in his house. Also, 97 cannabis plants were discovered under cultivation in his yard.

Philip Reid and Renee Gilkes appeared at the District A Magistrate Court.
