Integrity in Public Life Bill to be debated in Nevis Island Assembly

The Nevis Island Assembly will sit in Chambers at the Hamilton House on Hunkins Drive, on Wednesday September 11, 2013, the third time since the new Nevis Island Administration (NIA) took office in late January.

According to the Order Paper circulated by Clerk of the Assembly Ms. Shemica Maloney dated September 05, 2013, four Bills will be tabled by Minister of Finance in the NIA Hon. Vance Amory. They are the Integrity in Public Life Ordinance, 2013; the Nevis Limited Liability Company (Amendment) Ordinance 2013; the Nevis International Insurance (Amendment) Ordinance 2013 and the Nevis Business Corporation (Amendment) Ordinance 2013, all of which he will move to have read a second time.

Before the introduction of the Bills, among other matters listed on the Order Paper are the formal entry of the President of the Nevis Island Assembly Farrell Smithen; a motion of approval of the Order Paper as circulated; messages from the Deputy Governor General Eustace John and statements by Ministers.

Following the Bills’ second reading, a slot has been reserved for any resolutions after which the House will be adjourned.
