T&T’s Simone Sant-Ghuran breaks barriers as ‘The Wedding Coach’

Entrepreneur, magazine editor, newspaper columnist, wedding planning lecturer and wedding industry expert, are just a few of the many titles one can use to describe Simone Sant-Ghuran. After several years in the weddings and special events industry, the multifaceted Trinidadian woman can add ‘Coach‘ to that long list of professional labels.

This initiative comes at an appropriate time – when most engaged couples are opting for a more do it yourself (DIY) approach to their weddings, as opposed to hiring a full service wedding planner.

The Wedding Coach is a cost-effective alternative to the traditional full-service wedding planner method. It not only empowers couples who desire to go the DIY route but also provides crucial advice necessary to execute their big day successfully.

The Wedding Coach is an innovative service for Caribbean couples but is especially beneficial for those around the world who plan to have a destination wedding in the Caribbean. Simone has developed this service in such a way that engaged couples can have one-on-one consultations with her either in person or via Messenger or Skype.

This service will provide a neutral third party perspective to couples who have hit a slump in their planning and need a new way forward, as well as those who aren’t familiar with the intricacies of wedding planning. These consultation sessions will offer advice on vendor referrals and comparisons, budgeting and assistance with reviewing vendors’ contracts.

Simone, who also lectures in Wedding Planning at the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business in Trinidad, noted that the Wedding Coach will also assist and guide couples in terms of timelines, wedding planning schedules, theme development, dress selection, etiquette and decor.
