The aircraft is being examined by the company’s maintenance department and will undergo the various checks stipulated by the manufacturer before it is returned to service. LIAT just signed on to a loan with the Caribbean Development Bank to acquire funds to secure a new fleet, despite major setbacks of delays due to an aging fleet and union challenges.
