It was the first time that CTUSAB participated in such a Conference at the invitation of its Latin American counterparts.

The Conference addressed a number of topical subjects and was attended by delegates from thirty-four countries which included representatives from several international trade union organizations.

Barbados was included on the panel which discussed the topic of ‘Decent Work: hemispheric agenda of decent and social dialogue‘.

This topic was significant in the context that it was a follow-on to the discussion on Social Dialogue which was one of the main subjects addressed at the recently concluded 102nd International Labour Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
