Busy Weekend for Police – Sr Citizen found & Barbadian Marshall charged

Members of the Drug Squad have formally charged Barbadian national Carlos Andre Marshall, 31 years, of 9A Silver Hill Drive, Silver Hill, Christ Church, for the offences of:

• Possession of 1/2 kilo of cocaine
• Possession with intent to supply
• Trafficking; and
• Importation.

Marshall arrived by air from Trinidad on 19 July, 2013, went to Customs and was searched. This search revealed 2 packages hidden in shoes which were in his luggage. A further search was conducted and 2 packages were discovered in the underwear he was wearing. He was handed over to the Police.

Marshall is expected to appear at the District B Magistrate Court Monday 22 July 2013.


The public is informed that missing man Othneil Harewood 61 years of Long Bay, St. Philip has been traced and has returned home. We thank the public and the media for their invaluable assistance.


On Saturday 20 July 2013, joint drug eradication Operations were conducted by the Drug Squad and assisted by personnel of the Barbados Defence Force, Special Services Unit and the Police Marine Unit, and the following seizures made:

277 cannabis plants were discovered and confiscated at College Land, St. John
144 cannabis plants were discovered and confiscated at Greenwich Village, St. James; and
23 cannabis plants were discovered and confiscated at Windsor, St. George.

Police have arrested and charged Michael Antonio Worrell, 35 years of Small Land, Bridge Gap, St. Michael for the following offences:

• Possession of 34 grammes of cannabis
• Possession with intent to supply; and
• Trafficking.

On the morning of Saturday 20 July 2013, a warrant was executed at his residence and the illegal drug discovered.
