JAMAICAN MAN CHARGED FOR DRUG OFFENCES; TRIO HELD IN BLACK ROCK
Members of the Drug Squad have arrested and charged Jamaican national Giovanni Antroy Macintosh, 23 years, for the offences of:
• Possession of 9 ½ lbs of cannabis
• Possession with intent to supply
• Trafficking; and
• Importation.
{INTERNET FILE IMAGE} Macintosh arrived by air from Jamaica on 5 June, 2013 and was interviewed by Immigration and was referred by them to Customs. A search was conducted by Customs and 21 packages containing the illegal drug were found in a false bottom of a his suitcase. Police were called in and he was officially charged.
THREE MEN HELD IN BLACK ROCK
About 9:30 pm on 6 June 2013, three men were held in a motor car which was pursued by police mobile units from St. James. As a result of this interception, a firearm, a quantity of ammunition and illegal drugs were discovered. Investigations are continuing; the names of the suspects cannot be released.
