Alert(s) by Barbadian Police – Body found, Missing Man located & Request for witnesses of Incident in St Peter

Police are investigating an incident which led to the injury of a 50 year old St. Lucy, which occurred on Saturday 01 June 2013, about 1.30 pm, at Sailor Gully, St. Peter. This area was being used as a stage in the Barbados Rally.

From initial investigations, a dispute arose between the victim and a group of men at that location; he was then attacked by 4 men allegedly with rocks and bottles. He received wounds to his head and left knee. The victim was taken to the QEH for medical attention by a Red Cross Ambulance which was there on duty.

It has also been reported that during the incident a licenced firearm holder on seeing the incident, discharged his licenced firearm in an effort to end the attack. The 4 men ran away.

Anyone who witnessed the attack and that would have information that can assist in this investigation is urged to call the District E Police Station at 419-1731.

PUBLIC APPEAL RE – DISCOVERY OF A BODY

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the unnatural death of a man said to be in his mid 20’s, whose body was found at Dunscombe, St. Thomas shortly before 8.00 pm on Saturday 1 June 2013.

The body of the victim was found on the ground below a bridge at the location. At the time the body was clad in a red tee shirt, yellow short pants and black and purple sneakers.

The deceased is about 6 feet in height, slim build, of dark complexion, wears a goatee beard, and has a scar to the left side of his head. Cause of death to be determined…
