U.S. Embassy Continues “Screen on the Green” Film Series
Directed by Wes Anderson and starring Bruce Willis and Edward Norton, Moonrise Kingdom is an Academy Award-nominated, PG-rated film about two children who run away from home trying to get to an island they have called “Moonrise Kingdom.”
The United States Embassy continues its “Screen on the Green” American Film Series with the quirky comedy Moonrise Kingdom on Thursday 23 May on the lawns of George Washington House.
Beginners stars Christopher Plummer as a man who comes out as gay in his 60’s and he and his son, played by Ewan McGregor, come to terms with the revelation. The film has won widespread critical acclaim and an Academy Award for Plummer’s performance.
The Embassy welcomes everyone to bring their blankets, lawn chairs and snacks to these free events, which begin at 7 p.m. both nights.
