LAST CHANCE TO AUDITION FOR DIGICEL RISING STARS 2013 – 2000 HOPEFULS TURN OUT SO FAR
Digicel Risings Stars Season 10 is ending its Jamaica-wide search to find the next Rising Star, this Sunday June 2 at the Ranny Williams Centre in Kingston.
Over the last 3 weeks, the Digicel Rising Stars judges went from East to West in search of Extraordinary talent. The judges Craigy T, Tanya Stephens and Anthony ‘Killa’ Miller have stopped in Portland, May Pen, Sav-La-Mar, Ocho Rios and Portmore and seen over two thousand hopefuls. Now they make their way to the last stop for 2013 – Kingston.
“We’ve seen dancers, musicians, dub poets, deejays, singjays, singers and even puppeteers. It is amazing just how much talent is in Jamaica. Our job is to find the best 14 that will make for good TV and then Jamaica will decide who the best is,” explains Digicel Rising Star judge, Craigy T.
The auditions so far have gotten tremendous support with more than 2000 hopefuls turning up to the last 5 locations to test their ability to make it on the Digicel Rising Stars’ stage and thousands more coming to watch the spectacle. Series producer Sharon Schroeter says the auditions have been nothing short of entertaining: “One thing is for sure, the judges, the production team and the crowds who come to watch have been thoroughly entertained.”
Senior Sponsorship Manager, Tahnida Nunes says Digicel is looking forward to the last lap of auditions. “Kingston is usually the biggest audition and over the past seasons some memorable talents were discovered. And not just talent from Kingston, those who didn’t get through at other auditions come back bigger and better and those who couldn’t make the other auditions attend Kingston so of course we are looking forward to how the talent search will wrap up here in the capital city.”
The 6th and final Digicel Rising Stars’ Season 10 auditions will be held this Sunday June 2 in Kingston at the Ranny Williams Centre on Hope Road beginning at 7:00am and is open to all talent.
