Much of the material has never been seen or heard before and was provided by his widow, Olivia Harrison, one of the producers of this epic project. The result is a rare and enlightening glimpse into the mind and soul of one of the most accomplished, talented and thoughtful artists of recent generations.

The film includes interviews with fellow Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, as well as Eric Clapton, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, George Martin, Yoko Ono, Tom Petty, Phil Spector and Jackie Stewart. They speak honestly and frankly about George’s many talents and contradictions.

Profoundly intimate and affecting, George Harrison: Living in the Material World is a must-see for Beatles fans, as well as anyone who appreciates the artistry that George Harrison brought to the world over his 56 years. As Scorsese shows in this superbly crafted biography, Harrison was a true Renaissance Man who continued to strive towards new frontiers in music and spirituality, even after achieving ultimate fame and fortune as a member of the greatest rock bands in the history of the world.
