Long Weekend no picnic for Police in Barbados… Suspected Drowning, Shooting and Body found…

The body of a man was discovered by Police on Friday March 29, 2013 close to a bridge near to the Edgewater Hotel, St. Joseph, has been identified to be Jarreau Bynoe, 31 years of Risk Road, Fitts Village, St. James.

Bynoe’s body was in an early stage of decomposition. At the time he was dressed in a long sleeve black jersey and blue jeans pants.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. Investigations are continuing.

MAN SHOT AT CHAPMAN LANE

About 7.40 pm on Saturday March 30, 2013, Jabari Wickham 24 years of Bank Hall, St. Michael, received a gunshot injury to his lower back, whilst at Chapman Lane, St. Michael. He is currently hospitalized in stable condition.

Information received was that two men on a motorcycle drove through that area and the pillion rider fired a number of shots at a group of persons, and Wickham received the injury. He was transported to the QEH by private transport.

UNNATURAL DEATH OF A VISITOR

The body of Canadian Paul Van Zupthen, 60 years was pulled from the sea off Crane Beach, St. Philip, by lifeguard, on Friday March 30, 2013, after it was realized that he needed assistance while swimming.
