GEL PRESENTS ST. MARY’S PRIMARY WITH STUDY STEPS SOFTWARE
Students of St. Mary’s Primary School preparing for the 11+ Examination can now benefit from the use of the Study Steps Common Entrance English and Mathematics software.
Divisional General Manager, Human Resources and Community Relations, Mrs. Jennifer Bradshaw-Wood said she was pleased to present the Study Steps software which would assist the students with their preparation in a fun but educational way and encouraged the students to take advantage of the opportunities that the software provides.
Principal of St. Mary’s, Ms. Jennifer Robinson accepted the contribution on behalf of the school and in expressing thanks to GEL for their on-going support, said that they continue to benefit from the library that was installed there back in 2006 and which is still in use as well the scholarships to graduating students. She noted that the software would not only assist the current Class 4 students with their preparation for the Common Entrance as the Class 3 teachers will also be taking advantage of the increased technology. She assured GEL that it will be put to very good use and looked forward to the Company’s continued support.
The software presented will be installed on 15 computers in the lab which would mean that 30 children at any one time would be able to benefit from the exposure to this valuable IT tool.
The Study Steps software was designed by Ramona Rollins-Eli and Danny Fenty of Study Steps to augment the in-class learning for pupils from ages 7 to 11 and especially those for whom the Common Entrance examination is imminent.
