It is the intention of The Royal Barbados Police Force to commence the destruction of bulk illegal drugs seized during investigations, and is currently in the custody of the Police Force.

{DEMO ONLY: FILE IMAGE - SKNIS & RSCNPF} The controlled substances marked for destruction date from 2010 to current.  The Evidence Act of the Laws of Barbados grants the Commissioner of Police the authority to dispose of the remainder of bulk drugs where samples have been taken.

Under the mentioned Act, a sample from the bulk of the seized controlled drug is taken and the sample along with a certificate are then submitted for analysis.

‘As soon as practical after receiving an authorized analyst’s report relating to the sample, the Commissioner of Police shall dispose of the remainder of the substance from which the sample was taken…’
