$10,000 Boost for Shell Drive in to Win Grand Prize winner
A loyal Shell V-Power customer, Justin Greaves, is now smiling his way through the remainder of 2013 after collecting the Grand Prize of $10,000 in cash which he won in the just concluded Shell Drive in to Win promotion.
The 24-year-old Shell V-Power fan was presented with a large ceremonial cheque by Kirk King, Sales and Marketing Manager of SOL (BARBADOS) LTD, assisted by Retail Sales Executive Denise Mendes during a morning ceremony that kicked off a day of customer appreciation activities at the Shell Worthing Service Station.
A surprised and very excited Greaves, who had arrived at the Station not knowing what he had won, said the prize money would be a big boost to his year. He noted he intended to continue as a loyal Shell customer as a sizeable portion of the prize money would end up in his gas tank.
“This is one of the greatest things to happen thus far in my life, I am ecstatic. Of course I intend to give back some, as I still have to use gas every day, but I wouldn’t mind taking a trip, and using some to help repay my student loan, and help around the house.”
“I would say Shell is the very best place to go for your fuel. For me personally I notice a greater performance in my car every time I use Shell, so that is now the only gas I use. Honestly with this competition, I was just filling out the forms and I really didn’t expect to win because I already got a good deal from the gas; but to know that I won $10,000 from doing something I had to do anyway; it’s a good feeling.”
Also at Worthing to share the moment with the grand prize winner, were several of the seven lucky weekly winners who all received “a year’s worth of free Shell V-Power fuel” during the eight weeks of the promotion which launched on January 25th. Weekly winners included: Rufus Scott, Glenn Harewood, Lorna Duke, Gredston Sealy, Hartley Lawrence, Nicole Branch and John Maxwell.
Other Shell V-Power customers who also got lucky during the promotion were winners of limited edition Ferrari drinking glasses from a set of six, each of which is dedicated to a year in which Ferrari won the F1 World Championship. These instant prizes were extremely popular with kids, collectors and motorsports enthusiasts of all kinds.
Customers who topped up their tanks with $35 in Shell V-Power or Shell Diesel, or who purchased one litre of Shell Helix HX7 or Ultra lubricant were eligible to win both the instant prizes as well as gain an opportunity to win one of the weekly prizes or grand final prize.
