RAY C. M. HARRIS was born in the nature island of the Caribbean, the Commonwealth of Dominica. He received his education from the St. Mary’s Academy in the Commonwealth of Dominica, the Law Faculty of the University of the West Indies in Barbados, and the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica. Mr. Harris is an Attorney-at-Law and a Legal Consultant, who specializes in legislative drafting, law revision and law reform.

Mr. Harris has been the Chairman of both the Law Revision and Law Reform Commissions of the Commonwealth of Dominica. He has also served as a member of the Commonwealth of Dominica Constitution Review Commission set up by the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica to review the Constitution on the 21st Anniversary of Dominica’s Independence.
He’s also served as a member of the Drafting Committee of the CARICOM Inter-Governmental Task Force, is presently a member of the Dominica Bar Association, the OECS Bar Association and the Commonwealth Association of Legislative Counsel.

To many grassroots brothers and sisters in the region, he is known as an elder, a Caribbean sage, who is never too busy to assist.
He explains both mundane and esoteric matters with a clarity and simplicity that can only be described as outstanding. This capacity to explain complex matters in a simple yet clear manner is aptly reflected in his excellent book: The Word: That which is written and should be known. This work of devotional service can only be described as essential reading for all people dedicated to Truth.
