Hinkson‘s sterling service record includes a 24-year membership of the Lions Club of Bridgetown, being Best President of the Lions Clubs in the Caribbean District 60B and Lions Clubs Leader of Barbados, member of the Advisory Board of Directors of the Salvation Army, Council of the St. Johns Ambulance Association, Association of the Blind and Deaf and of the Council for the Disabled, Small Business Association, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lawn Tennis Association and Paragon Tennis Club.
(Seen here with his children, Wife & Mother) Edmund “Eddie” Hinkson is an Attorney-At-Law residing in Waterhall Terrace, St. James. The husband of Beverly and father of Erica and Gregory, he has an outstanding record as a community leader.
Edmund also served as Chairman of the National Conservation Commission on the Severance Payments Tribunal, National Housing Corporation, National Advisory Committee on Disabilities, Building Advisory Committee, National Cultural Foundation, Consumer Claims Tribunal, Income Tax Appeal Board and the Harrison College Board.
In St. James North, the Shadow Minister of Education has sponsored cricket, football and netball tournaments, provided prizes at school speech days, assisted churches with outreach and mentorship programmes, provided food vouchers to the needy and helped to resolve constituency issues involving land.
