BRITISH NATIONAL CHARGED WITH DRUG OFFENCES

Steven B Tunnicliff, 47 yrs a British National resident in Spain was arrested and charged for committing the following offences on the March 11, 2013 while at the G.A.I.A.:

a. Possession a controlled drug to wit cocaine (2 kg’s)

b. Possession with intent to supply.

c. Trafficking.

d. Importation.

e. Attempting to export cocaine

{2010 FILE IMAGE} On 2013-03-11, Tunnicliff arrived in the island from Trinidad in-transit to London. He cleared Immigration and Customs and proceeded to the Airline check-in-counter when he was intercepted by members of the Drug Squad and interviewed. His luggage was subsequently checked by Police and the drug found concealed in packs Drink Mix, packs of Skin Crème, and packages of hair products found therein.

COURT RESULTS

On Wednesday March 13, 2013, Tunnicliff appeared in the District B Magistrate Court on the above mention charges and pleaded guilty to all. He received the following sencences:

For the offences at (b) and (c) – 36 months each; All other offences – 18 months each. These sentences will run concurrent.
