Barbadian constabulary probe Road fatality in St Peter

A two vehicle collision resulting in a fatality occurred about 5:45 pm Tuesday March 26, 2013, on Pleasant Hall Road, St. Peter.

The deceased is Michael Johnson, 63 years of Westmoreland, St. James, who was the driver of a motor van which was involved in a head-on collision with another motor van driven by Troy Clarke, 37 years of Ridge Road, St. Joseph. Clarke had to passengers at the time ages 11 and 6 years; they were not injured.

Michael Johnson was trapped in his vehicle and was extricated by members of the Barbados Fore Service using the ‘jaws-of-life’. It was reported that he suffered a broken right foot and internal injuries. He was transported to the QEH by ambulance. He later died while undergoing treatment for his injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
