The Royal Montserrat Police Service confirmed the apprehension of a man charged with robbery and another for possession of marijuana.
According to Superintendent Charles Thompson, on January 9 a robbery report was made to the police by a bus driver from the Look Out area. A police investigation was immediately launched and on January 17, a young man in his early 20’s was arrested and charged with the crime.
He was taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Monday 21st January 2013 and released on bail while the police investigations are continue.
As a result, he was arrested, charged and taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 22 January. The man was granted bail in the sum of EC $50 000. Police say the weight of the marijuana is over four pounds and carries a street value of approximately nine thousand EC dollars.
