2 St Lucy men arrested for illegal firearms & ammo
The members of the Anti-Gun Unit and the Special Services Unit carried out an operation at Gilkes Road, Bentham, St. Lucy, which resulted in the seizure of two (2) firearms and a quantity of ammunition and the arrest of two persons.
Arrested are:
Kyrone Nacarda Hinds, 24 years of Gilkes Road, Bentham’s, St Lucy and Andre O’Bryan Yearwood, 31 years of Retreat Road, Connell Town, St. Lucy. They have been jointly charged for:

1. Three counts of Illegal possession of a firearms; and
2. Illegal possession of 59 rounds of ammunition.
On Sunday 6 January 2013, an operation was carried out at Gilkes Road, Bentham, St. Lucy. As a result, one shotgun, one .380 pistol, one silencer and an assortment of 59 rounds of ammunition was seized. Subsequent investigations led to the arrests of the two men.
Hinds and Yearwood appeared at the District A Magistrate Court on Saturday 12 January 2013, and they were remanded to appear at the District E Magistrate Court on Tuesday 15 January 2013.
