BARBADIAN MALE CHARGED WITH FIREARM OFFENCES

Winston McDonald Walton, 38 years of #9 Bonaire Lane, Cave Hill, St. Michael was arrested and charged for the following offences which were committed at Montgomery Pasture, Cave, Hill, St. Michael:

• Possession of a .9mm firearm without a licence

• Possession of 19 rounds of ammunition without a permit and

• Possession of cannabis (small quantity).

{FILE IMAGE} On Wednesday 26th December 2012, Police Officers attached to the District A Police Station were on routine duty when inquiries led them to Walton’s residence. On interviewing him, he ran thus causing police to give chase which ended at Montgomery Pasture. He was taken into custody by the valiant efforts of those officers, and the firearm, ammunition and drugs seized.

Walton appeared before the District “A” Magistrate’s Court on Friday 28th December 2012.
