Equatorial Guinea Girls are Crown Champions of Africa
The national women’s soccer team of Equatorial Guinea, dubbed the Equatorial Guinea Girls by their fans in America, won the Cup of African Nations (CAN) 2012 yesterday.
The girls displayed a convincing win over South Africa with a score of 4-0. In the championship series, the girls also scored eighteen goals and conceded none.

Mr. Esteban Becker, the Argentina born coach of the Equatorial Guinea Girls, took a different approach prior to game day. He decided to have the girls take part in a lecture on golf. This session allowed the players to relax and prepare for the next game, which proved to be a successful strategy.
