Come rain or shine (and rain it did), nothing would stop these enthusiastic 100 members of the BARP family converging at Wine World Warrens to embark on a journey promised to be filled with a celebration of some of the many treasures of Barbados; island in the sun.

100 Members of BARP assemble at Wine World Warrens before departing for a day of unrivaled sightseeing!

The Annual BARP Tour hosted by Seven Seas is one of the many ways that we celebrate our seasoned citizens. We recognize the contributions that they have made to our work forces and society at large; and wanted to show our appreciation.

The event got underway with a unique trip to the wonderful world of pottery at Earthworks Pottery in Edgehill, St. Thomas, where participants were warmly engaged by the various artists who had an opportunity to demonstrate the intricacies of their craft that results in the extraordinary pieces that we have come to love from Earthworks. Next up on the tour was the supersonic sounds of the Barbados Concorde as our guests were enthralled with the rich history of the Concorde and how our Island In the Sun came to be its final resting place. A round-trip to Wine World Warrens culminated the days’ events as our patrons roamed the aisles of the outlet where their pallets were awakened with some of the finer wines retailed at the establishment. With appetites and pallets having been fed it was time to feed their minds. The members of BARP were educated, entertained and nourished through an interactive session with David Lewis, Pharmacist of Lewis Drug Mart.

Topics addressed included ingredients for Living a Healthy Life Past Fifty. The presentation was conducted such that our students of life could easily relate to and implemented healthy living into their day to day practices. Tips were shared on various places to find key nutrients to support a 50 plus lifestyle, but the greatest tip of all was “everything in moderation” says David Lewis.

The company was formed more than 75 years ago by a consortium of East Yorkshire trawler owners At the core of the Seven Seas philosophy is the belief that a healthy life begins with great nutrition.

They’re committed to bringing everyone the highest quality nutritional supplements, supported by the Seven Seas quality standard and backed with our decades of scientific expertise. Dear BARP and Ian, it is indeed a great pleasure, and so very gratifying, when such things are written. This pleasurable article is indeed a “piece that we have come to love” as was writ about our hard-working studio pottery. We are valways on deck for BARP, and for Barbados, up here at Earthworks pun the top of Shop Hill.
    All the very best always
    Dave and the Earthworks Crew
