Before you start a business, you should be aware of what you are getting into, have realistic expectations of what will be required and of your ability to address the challenges along the way. Starting a business is not easy but there are lots of resources here in Barbados, in this portal and on the internet to assist you – and we have provided some very useful links. Forming a business will be one of the most important decisions you will ever make and you need to invest the time to do it right!

This portal provides the basic information you need at various stages of your business creation and development and links to additional resources. Once you commit the time to make the business about which you are passionate a reality, you will succeed!

Joel Branski from the IDB (who was the main financier for the initiative) also examined the value of creating one’s own business in this era

Register and provide some basic information about your business. There are several advantages to registering – you connect with the Cave Hill School of Business Center for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and we can share information about training, mentoring, financial assistance, networking and other resources and events which are available to help your business grow.

Mr Branski with Dr Jeannine Comma took part in the official cutting of the Ribbon to launch the Centre
