Barbadian charged for murder of Sr Citizen; Jamaican charged for drug offences

1. Detectives attached to the Southern Division have arrested and charged Anthony Ricardo Oneal Harewood, 33 years of #8 Middleway Lane, Ellerton Housing Area, St. George, for the Offence of Murder in relation to the unnatural death of Winston Waterman 81 years of Manning Village, St. George.

Waterman’s body was found in the house of his son at Ellerton Housing Area on Friday 31 August 2012.

2. On Thursday 7 September 2012, Members of the Drug Squad arrested and charged Jamaican national Paul Anthony Latchman, 39 years, for the following offences:

1. Possession
2. Possession with intent to supply
3. Trafficking, and
4. Importation of ¼ lb of cannabis.

Latchman arrived in the island by air from Jamaica on Monday 3 September 2012 about 5:55 pm and was interviewed by the Police and then detained at the QEH on suspicion of swallowing illegal drugs. He subsequently passed out 23 packages of cannabis which he digested, weighing quarter of a lb.

Harewood and Latchman appeared at the District B Magistrate Court on Friday 7 September 2012.
