Police remind Barbados – Temporary traffic arrangements, re: Cohobblopot 2012

{FILE IMAGE} To facilitate Cohobblopot 2012, a number of temporary traffic arrangements shall be in effect between 4 pm on Sunday, 5th and 3 am on Monday, 6th.

Cohobblopot 2012 is scheduled to take place on Sunday 5th August at Kensington Oval.

One Way

Fontabelle shall be a one way street with traffic flowing toward Holborn Circle.

Road Closure

The following roads shall be closed to all vehicular traffic except vehicles used by the Crop Over Festival Committee: Fontabelle, President Kennedy Drive from its junction with Westbury Road to its junction with Holborn Circle,

No Parking

No person shall park or allow a vehicle to remain stationary on the following roads or adjoining footpaths except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers:- Princess Alice Highway, Cheapside, Redman Drive, Prescod Boulevard, President Kennedy Drive, Upper Westbury Road, Kensington New Road, Baxter’s Road, Passage Road, Eagle Hall, Spring Garden Highway and Fontabelle.


Invited VIP’s will be permitted to park in the DaCosta Manning, Central Purchasing and H. Jason Jones compounds.

{FILE IMAGE – SHONTELLE, Headline act for night in Question} Event staff, judges, marshals, media personnel, calypsonians, technicians and stage hands will be permitted to park in the Goddard’s Car Park. They will enter the car park via the First Caribbean Bank’s entrance, and the Oval through the Media Centre Gate.

Vendors, delivery vehicles, buses and coaches will be permitted to park in the BIDC Car Park.

Park and Ride

The following Park and Ride sites will be in operation during Cohobblopot: Queen’s College, St. James; NCF Headquarters, St. James and the BTI Car Park, Bay Street.
