1. Members of the Drug Squad executed a warrant at the residence of Hallam O’Neal Husbands 41 year old painter of 2nd Avenue Thomas Gap, President Kennedy Drive, St. Michael, on 7 August 2012, and 57 cannabis plants were found growing in his back yard. He was arrested and charged for the offences of Possession. Possession with Intent to supply, Trafficking and Cultivation.

{FILE IMAGE – DISTRICT “A”} On 8 August 2012, he appeared at the District A Magistrate’s Court and pleaded guilty to all the charges. He was sentenced as follows:

• Possession – $2850 forthwith. Fine paid;
• Trafficking – $2850 by September 28, 2012 or 2 years in prison;
• Cultivation – $2850 by September 28, 2012 or 2 years in prison;
• Possession with intent to supply – Convicted, Reprimanded and Discharged (CRD).

2. Members of the Drug Squad executed a warrant at the residence of Robert Thomas 32 years of Todds Land, St. George, on 6 August 2012, and 7 cannabis plants were found growing in his back yard. He was arrested and charged for the offences of Possession. Possession with Intent to supply, Trafficking and Cultivation.

On 7 August 2012, he appeared at the District B Magistrate Court and pleaded guilty to all the charges. He was sentenced as follows:

• Trafficking – $750 by October 8, 2012 or 3 months in prison;
• Cultivation – $300 by September 12, 2012 or 6 months in prison;
• Possession and Possession with intent to supply – Convicted, Reprimanded and Discharged (CRD).

3. Members of the Drug Squad executed a warrant at the residence of David Leroy Marshall 45 years of Mount Hill, St. George, on 2 August 2012, and 47 cannabis plants were found growing in his back yard. He was arrested and charged for the offences of Possession. Possession with Intent to supply, Trafficking and Cultivation.

On August 8, 2012, he appeared at the District B Magistrate Court and pleaded guilty to all the charges. He was sentenced as follows:

• Trafficking – $750 by October 31, 2012 or 3 months in prison;
• Cultivation – $1500 by April 30, 2013 or 8 months in prison;
• Possession and Possession with intent to supply – Convicted, Reprimanded and Discharged (CRD).

4. Members of the Drug Squad executed a warrant at the residence of Hallam Rudolph Smith 43 years of Waverley Cot, St. George, on 6 August 2012, and 6 cannabis plants were found growing in his back yard. He was arrested and charged for the offences of Possession. Possession with Intent to supply, Trafficking and Cultivation.

On 7 August 2012, Smith appeared at the District B Magistrate Court and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was granted $10,000 bail with 1 surety to return to that court on October 2, 2012.

5. Members of the Drug Squad executed a warrant at the residence of Bertie Rudolph Francois 63 years of Todds Land, St. George, on 6 August 2012, and 24 cannabis plants were found growing on his property. He was arrested and charged for the offences of Possession. Possession with Intent to supply, Trafficking and Cultivation.

On 8 August 2012, Francois appeared at the District B Magistrate Court and the results are as follows:

{N.B. – FILE IMAGE VIA RBPF} * Possession – $500 by October 31, 2012 or 6 months in prison;
* Cultivation – $750 by January 30, 2013 or 9 months in prison;
* Trafficking and Possession with intent to supply – Convicted, Reprimanded and Discharged (CRD).

6. Rory Mosiah King, 34 years, a Jamaican national has been arrested and charged for the following offences:

• Possession;
• Possession with intent to supply;
• Trafficking; and
• Importation of 4 lbs of cannabis.

{FILE IMAGE, 2010} King arrived in the island by air from Jamaica on 29 July 2012, and was interviewed by Drug Squad personnel and was referred to Customs. A search was carried out and the illegal drug was found in 5 taped packages strapped around his waist. He was subsequently arrested and charged for the offences.

He appeared at the District B Magistrate Court on August 8, 2012 and pleaded guilty to the offences. He was sentenced as follows:

• Possession – CRD;
• Trafficking – 24 month in prison;
• Importation – 24 months in prison; and
• Possession with intent to supply – 18 month.

All sentences to run concurrent.

7. Christopher Mark McGeady, 45 years, a Jamaican national has been arrested and charged for the following offences:

• Possession;
• Possession with intent to supply;
• Trafficking; and
• Importation of 4 lbs of cannabis.

McGeady arrived in the island by air from Jamaica on 29 July 2012, and was interviewed by Drug Squad personnel and was referred to Customs. A search was carried out and the illegal drug was found in 5 taped packages strapped around his waist. He was subsequently arrested and charged for the offences.

McGeady appeared at the District B Magistrate Court on August 8, 2012 and pleaded guilty to the offences. He was sentenced as follows:

• Possession – CRD;
• Trafficking – 24 month in prison;
• Importation – 24 months in prison; and
• Possession with intent to supply – 18 month.
All sentences to run concurrent.
