Over the weekend at Ben Mar – official residence of the British High Commissioner for Barbados and the EC – the London 2012 Olympic Games opened with a spectacular ceremony and were shown in an edited format to specially invited guests.

British High Commissioner, Paul Brummell delivered Opening Remarks at his Residence, where highlights of the Opening Ceremony included a spectacularly hilarious segment with Rowan Atkinson –aka– popular character/comedian Mr Bean doing his own version of “Chariots Of Fire,” all while British themed food and drinks were served to a vast multitude which the residence has seldom catered for.

Tourism Minister Richard Sealy presented prizes to the winners of a British High Commission photography competition which was seen on www.facebook.com/ukinBarbados.
