International Reggae Artist Junior Kelly and legendary Calypsonian David Rudder to headline the Caribbean music festival Saturday 25th August 2012 at Branlyn Community Centre (238 Brantwood Park Road, Brantford, ON).
Doors open at noon with a Steel Pan workshop hosted by the Hamilton Youth Steel Orchestra and Carnival Mas costume workshop entitled “What is Caribbean Mas?” with Clarence and Jackie Forde (NBA player Jamaal Magloire’s Toronto Revellers Design Team) as the main Family Fun activities starting at 1 p.m.
Families are encouraged to come out early and take advantage of opportunity.

Festcaribbean showcases a variety of music styles, energetic performances by Latin, Soca, R&B, Calypso, Reggae bands, artists, performers and DJ’s. Rounding out the spectacular performance line-up led by Junior Kelly backed by the Fiyah Flamez Band from Montreal and co-headliner David Rudder will be Brantford’s very own Island Pop collective Colour Quest, Canadian Reggae Artist Mello G, the Latin Power Band, Brazilian dance company Dance Migration, and R&B singer Chris Jackson. The Master of Ceremonies will be Comedian Roy Daye and Festival DJ is Hamilton’s Verse One.
Festcaribbean Inc. is a Not-For-Profit Caribbean cultural entertainment corporation located in the city of Brantford, Ontario Canada. The team led by Courtney Dillon is dedicated to bringing quality Caribbean entertainment to the community and encourage a better understanding of Caribbean people and its culture.
In addition to the musical entertainment and cultural activities, there will be a variety of Caribbean foods for sale from local vendors, giving the community a chance to savour the flavours of the West Indies.
