Caribbean Disaster Risk Atlas Project: Now Available, Mona Campus – UWI

The Caribbean Disaster Risk Atlas arose from the need for reliable data to enhance decision-making to reduce the serious economic and social impacts caused by natural hazards in the region, this is an essential component in creating comprehensive risk management strategies in the Caribbean.

the wider Caribbean is funded by the World Bank to the amount of US$510,000.00 through its Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery.

Many top-level Caribbean personalities and officials from the highest levels of the University, risk managers, GIS specialists and planners as well as Government officers and the diplomatic community will discover why they need thisĀ Atlas as a crucial element for much of their preparations.
