An operation at sea led by the RBPF Drug Squad and assisted by the Barbados Coast Guard, an element of the RSS, and with the assistance of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Coast Guard has resulted in the seizure of 24 bales of cannabis weighing 1706 lbs, in the territorial waters of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
A Barbados registered fishing boat was also seized and four (4) Barbadian nationals were arrested and are currently in the custody of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.
2. Drug Seizure
On Saturday July 14, 2012, just after midnight, members of the Drug Squad seized 6 polythene bags of cannabis weighing 307 lbs, after they intercepted a boat during a drug landing at Heywoods Beach, St. Peter.

Investigations are continuing.
3. Weapons and illegal drugs seized at illegal Fete
On July 14, 2012, about 3.00 am, Police responded to reports of loud music in the area of Lammings, St. Joseph at a place name Airy Hill Jackers Base. Investigations revealed that no license was obtained to hold the fete neither was the premises licensed as a place of public entertainment.

Owner of the premises Jefferson Alphonso Kellman, 57 years, of Lammings St. Joseph, was arrested and charged for Permitting the premises to be used for the misuse of illegal drugs.
Holder of the fete Andre Carlisle Walkes, 27 years, of St. Bernard Village, St. Joseph, was charged for Exposing liquor for sale without a valid license.
