United States Embassy Presents Books to Barbados Association of Reading

The United States Embassy continued its commitment to education in Barbados when it presented a set of books recently to the Barbados Association of Reading to be used by special education teachers.

The donation is a direct follow up to a program held earlier this year when the Embassy partnered with the Barbados Association of Reading and Erdiston College to bring Fulbright Specialist Dr. Vicky Spencer to Barbados for two weeks to work with special education teachers, students, and their parents.

Rachael Zaspel, Deputy Public Affairs Officer at the United States Embassy, presents the set of books to Christina Morris, past president of the Barbados Association of Reading, while current president Undine Shorey observes.

The books which were recommended by Professor Spencer will be used by the Barbados Association of Reading as resource material for primary and secondary school teachers who teach children with special needs.
