BRITISH ANTI-CRIME EXPERT TO VISIT BARBADOS: Dave Cording will serve as Special Advisor To Crime Stoppers Barbados

Barbados’ anti-crime efforts will receive another significant boost this upcoming week with the arrival on island of one of Britain’s most experienced experts in the field. On the heels of the successful “Exercise Tradewinds 2012”, Dave Cording, former Deputy Chief Executive of Crimestoppers UK is expected in Barbados for a series of high-level meetings with local officials.

{FILE IMAGE VIA –} Cording, who is also a former Chief Superintendent of England’s Surrey Police Department and recognised as a dynamic change leader who has a proven track record of communicating the need for citizen participation in crime fighting efforts worldwide, will participate in the launch of the local programme “Crime Stoppers Secure” on Monday at the offices of the BCCI.

Following his arrival on Sunday, Cording, who is serving as a Special Advisor to Crime Stoppers Barbados, will also meet with local business and government leaders, including Attorney General Adriel Braithwaite; leaders of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and the High Commissioners of Canada and Great Britain.

The Crime Stoppers Secure Programme, an initiative of Crime Stoppers Barbados, is one in which corporations are encouraged to partner with the local organisation to benefit from a number of services and products designed to make their workplaces safer and more secure.
